Through HEALTH MINISTRY you can  share the “gift of life” at our next BLOOD DRIVE  Sunday, November 30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Gathering Place. You can register at the Next Steps table November 13/16 and 20/23. A Health Ministry leader will be glad to answer any questions you may have about blood donations

Still looking for a few good men…

Kairos Prison Ministry offers men many opportunities to serve.   The facility closest to home is the Plainfield Correctional Facility. Kairos is going into that facility for a weekend in the fall. Other correctional facilities where men can serve include Pendleton, New Castle, Putnamville and Wabash Valley.   To see more information, go to kairosofindiana.org.   If any men in our congregation are interested in serving, contact the church office for more information. For those who might have reservations about serving inside a correctional facility, you might want to discuss prison ministry with any of the seven women from SUMC who have served during the last two years.    If you would ask any of those involved, you would find a positive response from each one about how meaningful this ministry has been to them.   They have served at both the Rockville Correctional Facility and Indiana Women’s Prison.

Creation Care Information

The Creation Care team would like to thank all of SUMC as a part of the team by continuing to recycle at SUMC.  We are always wanting our church to love God's creation and respect it by being Earth conscious.   The Indy Green Congregations newsletter for January can be found at:    greencong1@gmail.com    Check out all the opportunities available on this site.  EX:   They are offering workshops on how to work your soil up for the Spring (which I hope comes soon) and other opportunities.  Their next meeting is February on the third Thursday.
