Cornerstone

Ephesians 2:20-23: built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.  In Him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.  And in Him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

I’m not sure if you noticed but there is a large portrait of Jesus at the front of our building.  It has been placed at the corner of our Worship Center as a representation of the Cornerstone of our building. It is a way for us to proclaim to the world who we are and to whom we belong.  It is a way of saying everything we do must start with Jesus.

Many of you placed rocks under it with drawings or writings of what you were thankful for at the church.  This serves as a reminder that no matter what you are thankful for it all starts with Jesus.  Jesus is at the center of all things we are thankful for: the Bible studies that were lifted up, the ministries, the music, the Pastors, and the family.  Oh, and somehow I guess even the donuts.

Think about all of those rocks and what they represent for each of us.  Now think about them together piled around Jesus.  When all of those things are moving together with Jesus in the middle what can we accomplish as His church?  Only God knows, but I am excited to find out together!
