UNITED METHODIST WOMEN

The purpose of the United Methodist Women Circles is.... be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
United Methodist Women's groups have been around for 150 years this year.  What a joy to celebrate.
We are supporting each other through our service to the church and others in our community.
Rebekah Circle will be having a Pitch-in Luncheon on May 14th at 11:30am in the gathering area.  Come join this creative supportive time of fellowship.
We expand our concepts of mission by being involved in many of the ministries in the church: Funeral dinners, greeting and ushering, God’s Will Breakfast, etc.
We will again be SELLING NUTS STARTING IN SEPTEMBER.
Tell all your family and friends to order because this is one way we can support the ministries of the church and UMW worldwide.   Your money last year helped Lucille Raines Resident Center in downtown Indy.  They needed money to redo the bricks on the building.  It is a Center helping people to get back on their feet after issues they have overcome are behind them.  So buy lots of nuts and candies (I hear the sea salt caramels are to die for)
The National unit of UMW supports many global ministries that help women and children lead new and much improved lives.   On May 3rd from 11:00- ? Southport will host the Church Women United FRIENDSHIP DAY program.  There will be a lunch at 12:00 (cost is $7) with 2 speakers after the lunch.  One speaker will be the chairman of Servant's Heart food pantry.
Leah Circle will be meeting on May 20th in the Underground, 6:30 - 8:00 pm to continue our SIT & SEW activity where we work on our African pillowcase dresses.  Come and join the fun.

JOIN A GROUP TODAY.....GOD WANTS YOU!!!!!
