Jubilee Christmas

JUBILEE CHRISTMAS is Saturday, December 13, and preparations are well underway. Through Jubilee we partner with over 25 Perry Township families so that they may experience some of the joy of the holidays. Since families have needs all year long and not just at Christmas, we continue the relationship throughout the year. Jubilee Hosts begin relationships with their families, listen for any immediate needs or hardships the family may have, and invite their Jubilee family to events and activities at church throughout the year. Jubilee children are invited to Vacation Bible School, families to the Community Fall Festival, seasonal opportunities, and to worship services and Children’s Church.  How can YOU help?

Be a Jubilee host or partner with another Host. This is a great opportunity to show Christ’s love as you interact with your Jubilee family, be in relationship, and be their connection with our church.

Shop for toys, wrapping supplies, personal care items, and a variety of miscellaneous things needed for Jubilee day. Tag boards will be ready beginning November 13 so you may choose which purchases you would like to make.
Provide refreshments for Jubilee day. Suggested items will be posted on the tag boards starting November 13.

Shop with Jubilee parents and their SUMC host at Burlington Coat Factory Saturday,    December 6, starting at 7:30 a.m. Extra hands are always needed when shopping for a new   outfit for each Jubilee child. This is a lot of fun with the cost covered by your Faith Promise donations.

Set up for Jubilee day Friday, December 12.
Be a Jubilee day servant. Come, offer your talents, and assist where needed. You might be wrapping gifts with parents and hosts, carrying gifts to cars, serving in the kitchen, supporting the Jubilee planning team, welcoming families, or being a clean-up crew member.

Jubilee Christmas leaders will be at Next Steps November 13/16, 20/23, and 26/30 to answer questions, give additional information, and register you for an area in which to serve. Don’t forget to pick up your tags for shopping or baking too.
