Let’s Celebrate

The individuals and families who are served through Fletcher Place Community Center and GOD’S WILL BREAKFAST.

The parents and families with seriously ill children at Riley Hospital who are served through two RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE MINISTRIES, one at the main House and one in Riley Hospital.

Those who have hope for recovery or will live because the blood donations made through our quarterly BLOOD DRIVES.

Guest families, who are a part of INTERFAITH HOSPITALITY NETWORK, are currently homeless and have a safe place to be with food provided and needs met.
Children receiving the good news of Jesus Christ through PERRY TOWNSHIP RELIGIOUS EDUCATION.

Incarcerated women and men hearing of the love and forgiveness promised to them by        accepting Jesus into their lives.

People who live in an Alabama parish who welcome our UPPER SAND MOUTAIN MISSION TEAM and count on us to make a difference in their daily lives.
Perry Township Families who receive support not only during the holidays but year round because of JUBILEE CHRISTMAS.




Let’s Celebrate New Beginnings

Community Festival and Movie Night at Homecroft Elementary with incredible opportunities to serve and bless the families and children in our area.

These outreach ministries require many hands and several tasks.  But don’t be confused. Your giving to Faith Promise is not so plans will be made, tasks will be completed, and numbers counted.  Your support means relationships are made, people can experience Jesus’ love through our actions, and transformation may happen.

Without your second mile giving designated to Faith Promise, we lose many opportunities to bless others.  Thank you for your continued support!  If Faith Promise giving is new to you, learn more, ask questions, pray for God’s guidance in being part of….  “sharing God’s love and grace through Jesus Christ, 24/7, so that……”

Dear Friends,            I am excited about the many things that are happening at Southport UMC this month.   There are many things going on at Southport UMC as we continue in ministry to the Southside of Indianapolis, but I would like to highlight a few opportunities, as well as share some information about changes that are coming this month. First of all, because of storm damage we are getting a new roof. This work will begin after September 8 and will take around a week to complete (weather permitting). Secondly, we will begin signups for Journey Groups this month, and I encourage everyone to take this opportunity to grow in your faith through a small group. ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS

You may or may not know that in the past, Southport United Methodist Church has been able to offer a small scholarship to assist with college expenses.   The scholarship was made possible by some past members of SUMC:   Mary & Riley Lynch. We haven’t been able to offer the scholarship for a few years but are able to do so again. If you are interested or want more information, please contact Pastor Doug in the church office. Application deadline is July 15th, 2019.   A decision will be made at that time so there can be no applications accepted after that date.
